Tropical Aquaculture Products, Inc, an industry leader with over 20 years experience in the highly competitive farmed seafood industry, is seeking a candidate with strong marketing skills, a strong literary background, a passion for seafood, environmental sustainability, food safety and outstanding business acumen.  We are seeking an Internet Marketing Coordinator to manage Tropical’s online marketing efforts by creating, coordinating and maintaining our digital marketing programs with a focus on the growth, engagement and quality of Tropical’s online communities.

Successful candidates will have strong communication and organizational skills, along with high energy and a passion for digital marketing.  The candidate will be comfortable working among our marketing, sales and distribution teams but will also demonstrate proficiency working as a sole contributor on various projects.

Organizationally, this position will create, head, coordinate and maintain our Internet Marketing and Customer Relationship Marketing department.

Essential Functions

Content Development / Campaign Support
  • Assist in integrated content development and strategy as well as website QA.
  • Develop production schedules, traffic web assets and ensure that all digital campaigns launch on time. Track campaign performance.
  • Route, test and send email communications to Tropical’s customer database and manage profile updates.
  • Coordinate and assist with online research and surveys to Tropical’s followers.
Social Media Support
  • Monitor all conversations across Tropical’s social media channels while taking appropriate action to inform other departments as needed.
  • Work in lock-step with Tropical’s Customer Management / Service departments to provide excellent customer service via social channels.
  • Provide monthly reporting on program performance.
  • Supply ongoing social media competitive monitoring and analysis.
  • Assist in social media content curation and development.
Online Community Management
  • Enhance Tropicals online presence and followers by developing and executing engaging, user-friendly campaigns that authentically represent Tropical Aquaculture Products.
  • Assist in developing engaging web content with goal of driving positive brand sentiment, aquaculture acceptance and reaching new/existing Tilapia lovers.
  • Moderate user-generated content submitted to Tropical’s various online communities, social media sites, contests and campaigns.
  • Provide monthly reporting on program performance.
Other Responsibilities As Requested
  • Research new and innovative ways to market online; share research & learnings with internal Marketing team
  • Passionate about social media, up-to-date on latest trends
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and analytic skills
  • 2+ years experience tracking and coordinating digital media projects
  • 2+ years experience working with websites, digital media and digital marketing collateral
  • Qualified candidate must have strong organization and project coordination skills
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment, must be able to effectively & efficiently coordinate multiple tasks
  • Ability to meet strict deadlines & communicate when deadlines are not being met
  • Must have a passion for great, healthy, responsible food production.
  • Knowledge and passion for nutrition based conversation.
  • Must have a passion for seafood and strong belief in the need for sustainable aquaculture.
Preferred Skills, Competencies and Experience
  • Ability to identify necessary digital marketing assets and outline appropriate Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)
  • Knowledge using local/online project management applications e.g. Smart Sheet, Omni Plan, Base Camp, Microsoft Planner
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
  • Experience creating Power Point presentations
  • Maintain fluency in current email marketing trends, best practices, technologies
Education Requirements
  • 4-year degree in communications, marketing, advertising, public relations, media studies, business and/or related fields
